Custom Cover – Protest the Hero – Fortress

A friend in Ontario asked me to do this cover for him. Easily the most time-intensive, and detailed cover I’ve done.

Note: there is currently one artist proof left of this in my store.

Custom Covers / 7″ Artist Proofs In Store

To raise some money for charity and offset the cost of me doing these for friends and labels, I’ve set up a store where I will be selling covers.

You can check out all the info there, and here are some enticing images to get you started:

Upcoming Two Months

EDIT: I will also be selling some laser-cut prints of work I’ve done soon. All will be signed and numbered.  Portion going to charity. Look out.

The next two months are by far the biggest that this venture of mine has had so far.

Another 7″ release for my buddy Dan in Chicago.

A pretty high-profile release from Company Ink Records and my new friend Joe.

Two other releases that haven’t quite been announced yet.

And lastly (for now), I am getting the chance to work with a personal music hero of mine, Chris Staples, and a new label, Something to Break Records.

Check out all the projects on the tab above, or by clicking here.

Here’s a sneak peak of one:

Vinyl Album Covers by Josef Albers

According to Wiki, Josef Albers was a German-born American artist and educator whose work, both in Europe and in the United States, formed the basis of some of the most influential and far-reaching art education programs of the 20th century.

Well – he was pretty great. And a lot of stuff in modern art is because of him.

In the 60s, Josef Albers designed the covers to a few vinyl album covers. It’s mostly lounge-ey jazzy drum music on the records, but the art is pretty nifty.

It’s amazing to look back and see some of the world’s most famous artists and photographers creating album art in the 60s and 70s (see more examples here).

BITBL007 – IVWT002 – Daggerz – Symmetries 7″ – Test Sleeve

Daggerz is a two-piece rock band from Gainesville, Florida. Their first release is a four-song 7” from In Vinyl We Trust Records, and it is IVWT’s second 7” as a label.

These are the first test presses covers I’ve made using a white mat board. I love the burn marks that show up clearer on the light covers.

Five of these were made. Drawing by Cesar Evans. All CAD work, laser work, printing and pasting done by me. One of my favorite covers.

You can listen to the music, buy it, or check them out on Facebook.
